Napa Part 1: Yountville

This year, Iann and I took Margot to Napa Valley over Thanksgiving weekend as a belated-anniversary celebration. This was our first time to visit wine country, and it’s really as magical as everyone says it is! We flew into Oakland and met up with our good friends Hannah, Daniel and Henry for a nice Thanksgiving lunch. After that, we drove up to Yountville, which was our home base for the first half of our trip.

Favorites:

  • Bistro Jeanty: I had braised rabbit on pappardelle and Iann had coq au vin
  • Pride Mountain Winery: It’s located at the top of a mountain and has incredible views. They’re also dog-friendly (inside and out) so that was a huge bonus!

Other highlights include:

  • Watching hot air ballons launch over the valley
  • A tasting and picnic at Pride Mountan
  • Letting Margot roam through the vineyards
  • Taking in the Yountville Festival of Lights
  • Food from Bistro Jeanty, Redd Wood, Ad Hoc, and Bouchon
