Napa Part 2: Calistoga (& Sonoma)

We made our way up the mountain and stayed in Calistoga for the second half of the trip at a wonderful B&B called Luxe Calistoga (thanks to Tom and Michelle for the great recommendation). We found that Calistoga is more ideally situated for visiting wineries so we were able to taste great wines without having to drive too far. We got a bit of rain one day that quashed our plans to do some outdoor activities with Margot, but we were able to squeeze in a little bit of exploring anyway.

Favorites:

  • Kosta Browne Winery: On the way out, we stopped by Kosta Browne in Sonoma County. We have been big fans of Kosta Browne for a while, and after being on their waitlist for 3 years we finally got an allocation last December so it was a very exciting visit for us.

Other highlights include:

  • Cave tours and tastings Kelly Fleming and Schramsberg
  • Tasting at Tamber Bey with Daniel, Hannah, Jacob and Henry
  • Walking through the Petrified Forest
  • A hike with panoramic views
  • Breakfast at the B&B, and food from Solbar and Gott’s Roadside
